I have just been fitted by an excellent hearing aid audiologist of Natural Hearing, Mr Max Rahman,  with a pair of Phonak Audeo Smart IX hearing instruments, for my moderate binaural hearing loss, together with the iCom and the MyPilot. I am very pleased with the clarity and precison of sound which they provide. My first impressions are totally positive all round. The service provided by Mr Rahman from the initial tests to my final fitting has been impeccable from a professional point of view, courteous, friendly and clearly prepared to go to extra lengths to provide total customer satisfaction. The technology used for these hearing instruments enhances life to an incredible degree and makes for total enjoyable experience of hearing and sound. I am really excited to be a part of a revolution in confronting hearing loss. Indeed, with such high tech instruments, our "hearing loss" becomes "hearing gain".

Are there other users of the Phonak Audeo Smart IX on this Natural Hearing forum? Are your experiences as positive as mine?

As I mention on another thread on this Forum, I have had some problems with "parasites" on the receivers of my Audeo Smarts, more noticeably with the left hearing aid, and I have had them sent to Phonak to be checked out. I hope to get them back and be wearing them again soon. They are excellent hearing instruments and I am proud to wear them.

I received my HAs after a total check out by Phonak with re-wiring in the receivers. My optimism was justified and the result is a truly amazing hearing experience. Thanks also to the dexterity of my Natural Hearing hearing professional, who did an excellent fitting, I am hearing with such clarity, and without any parasites, over-amplification or "feedback", whistling, etc. Literally, I have to put my hands to my ears, to understand that I am wearing HAs. The Audeo Smarts are amongst the smallest hearing instruments available on the market at the present time, and both from the point of virtual invisibility (even down to the perfect flush, following the contours of the ear, of the tiny wire connecting to the receivers-in-the-ear), connectivity, battery endurance (at least 220 hours of constant use) and all round comfort, make for the perfect solution for anyone, young or not so young, with a moderate hearing loss.
